REMEMBRANCES (work in process)
“The series "REMEMBRANCES" comes from the photos I took during three years, at quarterly meetings between artists and writers, poets, Spanish and Portuguese, in a country palace in the north of Portugal, in Fontoura, Valença. Among gardens, large halls, dining rooms, chapel, library, we spent the weekend with talks, conferences, debates, visits to other Spanish cities such as Ciudad Rodrigo, Salamanca…… and its architecture,...days of cultural exchanges without barriers between border neighbours, combining cultural exchange with natural settings and historic architecture. Stone columns fade into waves, and tendrils of leaves segment the curve of armchairs. Each textured composition is an idyllic embrace between the past and present.
Today, this palace is a hotel. A lost paradise.”
